Nasgero x Rainbow Disco Club Launch Ceramic Collaboration in Japan

The collaboration between Nasgero and Rainbow Disco Club marks a distinct moment where food, design, and culture intersect. Where Playfulness Meets Precision
Drenched in Nasgero’s signature red and yellow palette, the plate carries a quiet sense of irreverence. It’s bold yet self-aware—balancing humor with intention.
The design doesn’t seek perfection in the conventional sense. Instead, it embraces character, offering something that feels both contemporary and deeply personal.
Crafted Through Heritage: Mino Ware Tradition
Conceived by Michael Killian and brought to life in collaboration with Komatsuya, a ceramic house based in Asakusa, the piece is rooted in the tradition of Mino ware.
This connection to heritage grounds the project, allowing it to exist at the intersection of craftsmanship and modern expression. It’s where traditional technique meets a more experimental, design-led perspective.
Between Object and Utility
The plate exists in a space that feels intentionally undefined. It’s suitable for everyday use, yet visually compelling enough to be kept untouched.
This duality—between function and collectible—reflects a growing shift in how objects are perceived. Dining is no longer just about the food, but also about the tools and surfaces that shape the experience.
A Living Experience at Rainbow Disco Club

Beyond the object itself, the collaboration extends into experience. During Rainbow Disco Club, Bang Gero will personally serve dishes using the plate, turning each interaction into something more immediate and personal.
It transforms the piece from a static object into part of a living, shared moment.
When Design Becomes Part of the Story
Released in conjunction with a cultural event rather than in isolation, this collaboration reflects a broader dialogue between food, design, and experience.
At its core, the Nasgero x Rainbow Disco Club ceramic collaboration is less about the plate itself and more about what it represents—an evolving narrative where even the smallest details become part of a larger story.
