Clase Azul Día de Muertos

Honoring Life, Love, and Memory

Every year, Mexicans celebrate Día de Muertos — the Day of the Dead — to honor loved ones who have passed away. This meaningful celebration combines food, art, and family connection.
In 2025, Clase Azul México embraces this spirit through Clase Azul Día de Muertos Edición Limitada Recuerdos, the final chapter in its Nuestros Recuerdos series.

This fifth release beautifully closes a five-year journey. The previous editions — Sabores (Flavors), Colores (Colors), Aromas (Aromas), and Música (Music) — captured different elements of this tradition.
Now, Recuerdos (Memories) unites them all in one emotional masterpiece.

A Tribute in Every Drop Clase Azul Día de Muertos

Only 10,000 decanters exist, making this release truly rare. Master Distiller Viridiana Tinoco personally crafted the blend, selecting tequilas aged 12 to 38 months in first-use American whiskey casks.
She also slow-cooked a portion of the agave in a traditional pit oven to deepen its flavor.

Tinoco said the process reminded her of her childhood.

“It felt like returning to my grandmother’s kitchen,” she explained. “The scent of wood and tortillas filled the air — those memories live in every drop.”

The resulting añejo tequila delivers aromas of cooked agave, orange peel, caramel, and clove. Moreover, it finishes with hints of spice and bright citrus, leaving a lasting impression.

An Artistic Expression of Heritage

The ivory decanter itself tells a story. Designed by Mexican artist Erika Rivera, it reflects her longing for home while living abroad in Melbourne.
At its center is a traditional ofrenda surrounded by soft, spiritual figures — representing the bridge between the living and the departed.

In addition, each bottle carries a handcrafted brass ornament made by Milagros de Latón, a family workshop in Tesistán, Jalisco.
Plated in 24-karat gold, the locket-shaped piece opens to reveal an obsidian cameo, symbolizing mirrors used on ofrendas so spirits can recognize themselves.
Each ornament requires over 50 hand-finished steps — from molding and engraving to polishing — therefore showcasing the dedication of Mexican artisans.

The Spirit of Día de Muertos in a Bottle

Clase Azul Día de Muertos Edición Limitada Recuerdos is more than a beverage; it’s a tribute to love and legacy. It turns nostalgia into presence and transforms memory into flavor.
In Mexican culture, Día de Muertos celebrates connection, not grief. Families build colorful altars filled with candles, marigolds, and favorite foods of their ancestors.

As a result, this tequila captures that same feeling — bridging generations through taste, aroma, and art.

A Legacy of Mexican Artistry

Founded in 1997 by Arturo Lomelí, Clase Azul México combines exceptional tequila-making with Mexican craftsmanship. Every decanter is molded, painted, and decorated by hand.
Over time, the brand has grown globally, reaching more than 100 countries — including Mexico, the U.S., Canada, France, Spain, the U.K., South Korea, and Australia.

In Indonesia, Clase Azul is distributed exclusively by PT Dwimitra Sukses Perkasa (DSP Group) and available through Winestop, the country’s destination for fine wines and spirits.

Purpose Beyond Luxury

Beyond producing world-class tequila, Clase Azul also uplifts artisan communities through Fundación Causa Azul.
This non-profit organization promotes cultural preservation and sustainable livelihoods for local Mexican artisans.
Furthermore, its initiatives align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly in supporting gender equality, quality education, and the elimination of poverty.

Limited Edition for Collectors

Collectors will value its blend of craftsmanship, heritage, and exclusivity.
Ultimately, it’s more than tequila — it’s a keepsake that celebrates memory, connection, and cultural pride.

“This is more than tequila,” Tinoco said. “It’s an act of love that keeps memories alive.”
